At our tattoo training school in Thailand, our student tattooist Diasuke had shown a proficient amount of skill in learning the necessary techniques needed to become a tattooist. When he started learning to tattoo, Diasuke demonstrated a predilection for animal motifs and colour work.
Diasuke has created a considerable amount of tattoo’s that are thought provoking and truly captivating to behold. One of his earlier renditions that truly exhibit his affinity with line work is his Celtic design rendition, which consists of a maze of interwoven lines and barbs that create a puzzling and attractive tattoo. Diasuke has also taken the line work technique to the next level, when he produced an exquisite skull tattoo with a range of complex components. Despite being bound to one colour, Diasuke’s tattoo design ability was not constrained and the overall design could equal any design with a vibrant colour work scheme.
After mastering the inner complexities of line work, Diasuke moved on to learning tattoo colour work techniques and created some stunning visual pieces; like his hummingbird rendition. The design uses an uncomplicated colour scheme and primarily sticks to using three bold colours that create a complimentary colour contrast.
Throughout Diasuke’s array of wonderful designs that were completed at our studio, there seems to be one constant and that is Diasuke’s prediction for animal and mythical creature tattoos. This passion for animal tattoos has become one of his strengths, allowing him to remain determined and passionate and ultimately creating beautiful tattoos that he enjoys.
As he progressed through our tattooing learning sessions, there are three tattoos that stand out from the rest and are the perfect representation of Diasukes ability. The first being Daisukes dragon design with its wonderfully rich colour palette, creating a vibrant energy as if bringing the dragon to life, by using a colour contrast of blues and oranges.
The second is his elephant rendition which has combined the techniques of colour work and shadow work effortlessly. Using the shadow work skill that was taught to him, he has manged to convey the grooves and bumps of the elephant’s skin in great detail.
But Diasuke most amazing tattoo by far is his striking feline design, the whole motion and energy of the picture is perfectly caught in this design with its emboldened and hypnotic border that draws your attention to the focal point that Is the animals gaze and also creates an illusion of movement; that the animal is heading straight for you. The colour used is bright and vivid, Diasuke has used a realistic colour scheme, the cat’s natural colour palette, but he has also added a bit of vibrancy by using a brighter orange which makes the tattoo gleam even more strikingly. This tattoo is truly remarkable.
